As a Makeup artist, I've had the privilege of being part of more than 250 bride's special days. Each bride was unique, filled with a blend of excitement, nerves and joy. But nothing could have prepared me for the whirlwind of emotions I felt on my own wedding day. The morning of my wedding I woke up with a mix of excitement and nervousness.
As a professional, I’m used to being in control, but on my wedding day, I wanted to fully embrace the experience so I asked my senior whose work I admired and trusted the most to help me get ready for the wedding. It was the first time someone else was doing my makeup which made me a little anxious but at the same time I was feeling special to be the canvas instead of the Artist.
After my makeup was finished and got dolled up with Bridal lehnga, I was already overwhelmed with emotions before seeing myself in the mirror as a Bride.
That was the moment when I was feeling what all my Brides must have felt. Then that cheerful tear which you cant control It deepened my understanding of the work as a Make-up Artist that its not just the work you are doing, its also about helping someone seeing her dream fulfilled.
